today's thought: i don't feel like thinking much today.

<< reminisce envision >>

I've just shifted some webpage I made like a few years ago, about my JC and secondary school classes. They were great fun back then, and even reading them now brings back a sense of nostalgia now and then. They are on my diary now, with links to them. If you were ever a classmate of mine, yet have never checked them out, you might wanna do that. The JC page was basically a description of every member of the class, and some pictures that one guy edited, for laughter's sake. I had more pride in the secondary school one: I believed alot in that entire sub-culture thingy we spawned, and so it is a list of the more commonly used words in our language, as well as a class register complete with nicknames given. In the logistical process, I've also added references, about the origins, and to provide further information of the particular word or nickname. Will prove to have great memorial value.

I've also added two new links to other pages. The first is to The Best Page in the Universe. It is basically a page of a self-righteous bastard who offers his extreme views, filled with angst and rage, yet hilarious in its own right. Humor in its very basic, dumbest form at times, and in its meanest, cruel best the rest of the time. The other one is also one filled with humor, of a very different kind. SociallyInept takes jabs at loserhood, and glorifies it comedy-wise. Updates are rare, but definitely worth a laugh now and then.

Reading quite alot. I've finished The Da Vinci code. A few thoughts on it; people usually always have thoughts of them. I did a wee bit of research on stuff like the Priory of Sion, and background information on the book itself. While Dan Brown professes to have based his book on facts, those facts are of the existence-in-real-life form, not of the based-on-established-and-proven-historical-records form. Anyway, I've vague impressions of another Holy Grail legend-based novel, although it was set in an earlier setting, and was based on the legends of King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table. I guess there's no need to state opinions on the entire Holy Grail episode, simply because, well, its a relatively well-known fact, and if people are gonna believe the pagan beliefs of a minority, rather than those subscribed to by 1/3 of the world, by my guest. Controversy and individualism always rank high on each of our ideals list.

Speaking of individualism, and inspired by Maddox, I find it slightly repulsive to read what people type, sometimes. I am referring to all those shortcuts they like to use. BTW, LOL, ASAP, all these are marginally acceptable, but do dey realli haf 2 desecrate common words like that? I mean, yeah, I understand it when its used in SMS. The key is, after all, short-messages, and you don't really wanna use 2 messages to get your point across; they cost money. Also, you don't write reports or assignments in your handphones. But on the net? I find it to be almost exclusively the domain of identity-challenged teenagers when people type like that. How hard is it, really, to type properly? I'm sure most of us are required to use proper English when submitting reports at work. So why not just type like that all the time? What is there to prove: that you are someone who can't be bothered with typing complete, cohesive words, or you are trying to stamp your style and individual signature on the text you produce? I do type normally most of the time, whenever possible, even in MSN and ICQ. And punctuate them properly. What's so hard about it? Typing an extra "Y" and "O" is too much to ask from u? Oh well.

Its just me.

Newcastle went ahead against Charlton, only to concede a Kevin Lisbie goal, which was, admittedly, well-struck. It was an exciting match that ended square, and either side deserved the win. Close-calls and off the line saves were in abundance, which added to the thrill.

I'm reading The King's Buccaneer, another Raymond E. Feist novel. Nearly done with it, couple of chapters to go. And I went through it in like 3 days time, reading sporadically. Gonna continue on with another Stardoc novel while considering whether to dip into Dan Brown further: he writes good suspense, or to ride along the Raymond E. Feist trail. The Battle of Corrin is going to be available soon, so I can look forward to that.

I came across this talented rapper called Lil'Max$o who is only 4 years old. He sounds cute, the way 4 year olds do.

Self-evaluation. Do I really wanna do it? I don't feel so much in the mood today, really.

Cooked pork liver today. Pork liver tastes really good.

Damn jobs are so elusive.

Not feeling very insightful today, otherwise. I think I'll just end here.
