Another entry, right on the first day of Chinese New Year. Really eventful week I've had. By the way, from now on my English name is Aidan. I'll start everything from the day the car got rented, last Thursday, and continue from there, since I can't remember all that has transpired before then. Total Passenger List (in order of appearance): Suin Yong Mother Yew Shih Huaguang Luhui Grandmother Zhizhong Alicia Rachel Jacky Zhongyu Xiaoqi Heng Swee Tiong Keng Seng Yong Jianxiang Wanqing Huijun Father Xiaoqi's friend Lets go through the events day by day: Thursday Found car rental company, and went down. Entered to see two Ah Bengs in it. Mistook place for loan shark office. Waited for car to be prepared. Was told that being P-plate meant an additional 10 bucks per day. Agreed to terms. Impressed with car. Better and cooler than previous rental. Proceeded to Parkway Parade to meet Gin. Had hair done, and re-colored. Darker shade of brown; to maintain conservative and studious image. Hair trimmed in preparation for Chinese New Year. Rachel could not make it for dinner. Called up Suin Yong instead for dinner. Drove around searching for elusive Bak Ku Teh, originally situated at Outram Park, rumored to have moved to Tiong Bahru. Futile search. Had a choice between Chomp Chomp or Greenwood, upper-class location hidden behind NJC. Decided on Pasir Panjang due to time constraints. Fresh seafood a delight. Overload of semi-raw oysters. Good meal overall. Headed home to settle down. Drove Mum for a while to deliver her goods to customer. Was looking for night activities. Finally decided on supper with Huaguang, Yew Shih and Luhui. Went to Geylang. Had venison hor fun. Not too bad. Also had tou hua. Yummy. Drove them home. Sleep. First day of driving. Friday Awoke early to drive grandmother to checkpoint. Returned to get ready for movie later on in the night. Had an emergency along the way, needed toilet bad. Stopped at Kallang assuming that there will be one accessible. Wrong assumption. Finally resolved crisis. Continued on to Parkway Parade to pick up Zhizhong and Alicia. Drove Alicia to her church. Drove Zhizhong to Eunos to have dinner at William's. Detracting from the to-the-point report of the events. William is a great person, really nice, friendly, approachable, impressive sense of humour, and a really worthy friend and acquaintance. Thank God for having the fortune to have my path cross with his. William's food is always good. Was forced to be treated to the food. Chatted with him, and left for Cineleisure. Discussed the basic fundamentals of starting out our partnership. Decided on the necessary tasks to be accomplished. Rachel gave me a nice gift too. Dealt with fickle minds and last minute changes to the movie outing. Bought tickets, watched Flight of the Phoenix. Medicore show, heavily-clinched plot. Had supper, drove Rachel Jacky Zhongyu and Zhizhong to Bukit Timah for Teochew Porridge, with Zuoqi, Ken, Daniel Ho and the others. Drove Xiaoqi, Zhizhong, Jacky and Zhongyu home. Sleep. Second day of driving. Saturday Awoke to a lazy afternoon. Drove down to Somerset sometime near dinner for dinner with Alpha guys. Met them at Sommerset, had dinner at Sakae Sushi. In attendance: Zhizhong, Alicia, Tiong Keng, Chin Yen, Heng Swee, Ronaldo/Jianxiang, Seng Yong, Victor. Went to Cable Car, a pub, to chill later. Had fun playing pool, cards and a penalty verbal game. Drove Heng Swee, Ronaldo, Seng Yong and Tiong Keng home, but decided to check out Geylang for hookers. Drove around, then walked around. Decided to proceed to check out Changi Village for transvestites and old Changi Hospital. Scheduled to meet Maureen for supper. Another comment. I got distracted and had a car accident here. Damage was substantial to both sides. I was turning left into a two lane road, while the other driver was turning right into the other lane. I over-turned and hit his left rear door. My frontal right signal light was smashed, and the was a dent, and the paintjob wore off as well. Had a minor car accident. That tore off the glitter of the night's activites. Lost mood for supper. Ferried everyone home. Went to Suin Yong's house to complain. Camped over there. Sleep. Third day of driving. Sunday Awoke and dragged myself home to clean up. Decided to check if Wanqing needed a lift anywhere. She did, and expressed eternal gratitude (would have preferred her offering herself as thanks instead). Hmm, Wanqing struck me as someone who can be alil gullible at times. I love being nice to people to having that thought appreciated, but I worry for her, because if a lift like this could touch her so, I kinda think that a guy could court her pretty easily. That isn't so bad, Wanqing's a great girl, and an awesome catch for any guy who discovers her, but I fear for those with ill intentions. I like Wanqing, but alil more of the brotherly sort; she kinda triggers alil of my protective instincts sometimes. Drove to look Lennert up for advice on the damage to car. Drove to meet Huijun for supper at Chong Pang, then drove her back to hall. Went on to Changi Airport to pick Dad up. Just after dropping Huijun, I had my last cigarette before driving to the airport. At the time of writing, I'm 48 hours away from my last cigarette, and so far, I'm not experiencing any ill effects. Sleep. Fourth day of driving. Monday Woke up early to drive to Eunos to get damage assessed. Repairs unable to be completed before CNY. Decided to report this incident to the car rental guys. They were surprisingly cool about it. Helped me get accident reported to IDAC. Everything else can only be done after CNY. Headed home for a nap from fatigue, and then had dinner. Drove around abit, before deciding to pick up Xiaoqi and her friend from Orchard. Drove friend home, then watch Xiaoqi had dinner. Drove her home, dropped by at Zhizhong while waiting for Zhirong to be done and returned to hall to collect the speeding offence summons from him. Picked up Huijun at NTU and got her to drive me to hall 4 where Zhirong was. Huijun drove me around for awhile, cause she wanted to drive, and I'm never one to turn down a temporary chaffeur. Went to Geylang for beef hor fun, before driving her back. Sleep. Fifth day of driving. Tuesday Woke up, drove stuff to be donated to the Salvation Army, as per request of my mum. Returned the car, and made my way back home, only to be rushed off to Malaysia for reunion meal. Reach Kota Tinggi relatively quickly, had the meal, took a much-needed nap, and went home, where I've been at the computer ever since. Ok, those are the events summarized for the past few days. I wanna complain about the red packet takings. They are horrible. Aside from that. Hmm, I wanna get Wanqing sunflowers for Valentine's Day. If ya don't know what sunflowers mean, you'll probably be gasping. Sunflowers = pure friendship, so they are safe, never mind the occasion. Valentine's Day isn't a day for only lovers anyway. Its for all forms of love. Haha, I'm sure she'll appreciate them. While I'm at that, I'll probably get flowers for Maureen and Huijun as well. Gawd, I have so much on my mind, but nothing seems to materialize in writing. I'm in the midst of quitting smoking, 4 days into it. MTGO's having a small crop of problems, but nothing major. I think I'll leave this entry as it is and save the juice for when I'm more inspired.
