today's thought: newcastle on spurs? tough..

<< reminisce envision >>

Been so busy of late that I barely have time to do anything at all, let alone blog.

I've finally attended my first ICT since having ORD'ed nearly 4 years ago. It was a lowkey one, but it was anything but. Basically, it was for some Guards parade, and I'm not even in Guards in the first place. Never mind. The first day was bad enough. We have had to practise for the damn parade with the flashy SAR21s. That's four years since I've held a rifle, and now we have to do those stupid drills and what not.

The first day alone stretched up to 10pm at night. That's nearly 16 hours straight of being stuck in camp. Lowkey? Bwah! I came back sunburnt and exhibiting a distinct red and white over all my body. From being in the office 5 days a week to going out in the hot sun from 11 to 2, that's a big leap. But yeah, it was certainly very, very tiring. Saturday was a halfday stint, and thank God we get Sunday off. Monday and Tuesday will be the same again, after which it's time to head back to work again.

I'm taking this opportunity to really take a good one day break. Being able to just not do anything serious for one day or so is a good thing. Oh, and I have to book my IPPT after all. I thought that I might be able to do it during this ICT, but I guess not. Oh shucks, I really have to at least run a couple of times, else I'll make a terrible mess out of it.

Ok, gonna continue on with my Mindlessness Day.
